My recent one was a "DC" consisting of two 6509's that handled core routing down to access layer. Once we implemented BPDUGuard on them we started getting calls - sometimes around the $300 Cisco switches they would plug in often with servers dual run to this single or better two $300 "switches" for redundancy, sometimes because the cabling team would connect cables to switches to lay them out, without regard if the other end was already connected to another switch. Believe me there's much more…and it's taken 12 4948's so far to get all the access layer gear off and free up the core's to be core's.
