Merging and Splitting Subnets

I have multiple subnets which I would like to merge or split into smaller subnets with a parent supernet, but I can't seem to be able to find an easy way to get this done.

For example, I have a /24 network in IPAM (with a significant amount of comments and other data) and I would like to break it down into 8 /27 subnets with a /24 supernet as parent. As far as I can tell, the only way to do this is to export a spreadsheet, delete the subnet, create the supernet, allocate the /27 networks and manually import the data again for each subnet.

I would also like to be able to do the reverse, say grab 2 /24 networks and merge them into a single /23, or 4 /27's into a single /25, again without needing to jump through the hoops of exporting, deleting, re-allocating and importing data.

Any help is appreciated.
