From my experience I will try and help answer your queries:

 

1. Can WHD maintain relationships to multiple solarwinds sources? YES

2. As part of this relationship, does location and asset/inventory data get automatically integrated? YES but you have to include the variables in the alert sharing in Orion.

3. What firewall/security/port information do we need to open in order to establish full connectivity between a "solarwinds source" and WHD? This can be custom. We use port 443 as its secured.

4. Can NPM data from Solarwinds sources be integrated to the reporting capabilities of WHD? YES but reports in the current release are limited. New release has some improvements for this but I have yet to review.

5. What are some well known limitations and/or "gotchas" of attempting to integrate WHD and multiple Solarwinds Sources? From what I have seen it is just the beginning of the integration and there is a lot of ground to be made up but they haven't allocated any resource to improving this as of yet. I have also found that the documentation is severally lacking but have been promised this will improve.
