+1 to Leon Adato answer.
The Sales Team will tell you that it's Nodes but you will usually bump into Interface and Volume limitations first since most network nodes have lots of interfaces and most server nodes have lots of volumes. Just be aware that whatever node limit they gave you applies as an interface and volume limit as well.
