We just recently ran an NPM upgrade to 10.6.1. Long story short, is we had some issues and ended up uninstalling the NCM integration (7.0.2) piece on the NPM server, but did not touch the NCM install (7.0.2) on our NCM server. We got 10.6.1 working, except that it is no longer integrated with our NCM server. We are planning on reinstalling that integration software soon. Anyway, I was reading through the Admin Guide and had questions about steps #14/15 on page 25.
14. Specify the SQL Server instance—where the Orion Core database is located—and enter the authentication method (Windows or SQL Server Authentication) used to communicate with the instance. Click Next when you are ready.
15. Click Use an existing database, select the Orion Core database in the dropdown list, and then click Next.
Otherwise, select the existing Orion NCM database you want to use, and then click Next.
Step #14 seems to state that it asks what your NPM database is. Pretty simple and straight forward
Step #15 says the same thing, but then says "otherwise select the NCM database". I'm confused. Why is it saying to use the "Orion Core" database after you already set it in Step #14? Is the guide wrong and it means choose the NCM database?
So if we run this integration install on the NPM server and point it to our original NCM database, should it all just start working again?
