Hi Ershad,
Thank you for your wishes!
I would suggest you to go through all the videos on Solarwinds portal before taking the test. There are lot of minute things that are to be observed and made note of both from the videos and the Solarwinds application itself. I have been working in Solarwinds from ver 9 to 10.3 and have good hands on it. This helped me clearing it on the first go. Also, make sure to revise your networking concepts and as they form the basis for the SCP. The troubleshooting and management techniques play a very important role in clearing the exam. A good network administration experience is an added advantage. On a lighter note, NCM is not added in the module yet, that makes it a bit simpler for me. I was able to find a lot of videos on the youtube from Head Geek Josh. They are valuable. Netflow plays a very important role here as I found many questions from it a little ambiguous.
Yes, for now you don't have to go to any pro-metric site to write the exam. But make sure to contact the Certification team to get more details regarding the same. The toughest part for me was to remember the Webconsole view as the last set of questions are based on that. I missed out on the time mgmt part, as I wasn't able to attend all 77 questions in 90 mins, missed out on almost last 8 Q's. Make sure you dont take much time for each questions.
Apart from this, I wouldn't say it is tough. It would seem easy with a good preparation and hands on on the application.
Prepare well. All the best for your exams.
Thank you!
